Research Interests

My research expertise and interests span the device and material design to enhance the performance of energy storage (e.g., (photo)batteries, supercapacitors, and fuel cells), energy harvesting/conversion (e.g., solar cells and water splitting), and electronic (e.g., transistors) devices by improving the inter-grain particle and inter-layer interface and interphase properties of their electrode and/or active materials using advanced interface engineering strategies.

1. Winner of the “President Award”, the highest award for the “Best Graduate” among overall Doctoral- and Master-degree graduates from 32 national research institutes (including KIST) in South Korea (2021).
2. Finalist (top 3) of the ASEAN-South Korea Award for Excellence in Science, Technology, and Innovation Pioneer by the South Korean government (2021). Participants are researchers and professors from ASEAN countries in South Korea.
