Professor Cheng-Wei Qiu from the National University of Singapore (NUS) recently visited the SuPER Lab, where he delivered a series of insightful and groundbreaking talks. These two talks stood out for their depth and innovative content. The first talk, titled "When Low-Dimensional Materials Meet Metasurfaces," explored the fascinating intersection of low-dimensional materials and metasurfaces, highlighting the unique properties and potential applications arising from this convergence. The second talk, "Optical Interfaces from Metasurface Optics to Low-Symmetry Phonon Polaritons," delved into the complex and cutting-edge field of optical interfaces, examining the transition from metasurface optics to the behavior of low-symmetry phonon polaritons. Both presentations were highly informative and well-received, showcasing Professor Qiu's expertise and the latest advancements in these exciting areas of research.
